Peak Fitness was established in 2019 by its sister company Peak Physical Therapy, with the objective of helping individuals protect their active lifestyles. Life is an “active sport” and whether you are a professional, recreational or occupational athlete, if you are recovering from an injury or have never had one…your life demands a lot from your body. If we don’t stay fit (or train for what we do) our bodies break down over time resulting in aches and pain which inevitably stop us from doing what we love to do forcing us to spend time/money on healthcare. Peak Fitness believes that everyone deserves to be healthy and staying fit shouldn’t be expensive or exclusive. In the interest of instilling good fitness habits into our youth and to make it more convenient for moms and dads, Peak Fitness is “Family Friendly” gym so families can exercise together. Children from 10 -15 can come with a parent and 16 and older can come independently. Peak Fitness has a variety of equipment to make fitness more interesting regardless of your background; cardio, free weights, machine weights and a functionally fit area. Cody McCarthy, Peak Fitness Emmett Manager & Trainer

My name is Cody McCarthy and I am 26 years old. I am an Idaho native who is passionate about health and wellness. I have goals to help people achieve their own health and fitness goals. I am a former collegiate athlete. I played football at Eastern Washington University where I was blessed to have a successful career on and off the field. It was my time as an athlete where I really learned the importance of health and fitness. Personally, I had many injuries that I rehabilitated back to good health by making good use of the gym and by practicing proper health and fitness routines. It changed my life and saved my athletic career. When I was in college at the age of 21, I was diagnosed with insulin dependent type 1 diabetes. This was also a learning curve for a young collegiate athlete. I had no option but to learn how to manage my diabetes by applying exercise and proper nutrition to my everyday routine. The gym is a tool for us to use and build ourselves better than we were when we walked in.
